Welcome to our Practice, which has been established for over sixty years. We take great pride in the quality of the services we offer and aim to make your visit a pleasant experience. We place great emphasis on prevention and on achieving and maintaing excellent standards of oral health for you and your family. We treat every patient as an individual and we will always discuss the most suitable treatment options to meet your specific needs.
Available Treatments _____________________________________________
General Dentistry: We offer treatment in all aspects of general dentistry, including the provision od dentures, treatment of gum problems and root canal treatment.
Cosmetic dentistry: We aim to enhance your smile with tooth coloured restorations, ceramic crowns and veneers.
Implants: We offer dental implants to permanently replace missing teeth or to stabbilise dentures.
We offer a wide range of dental products to complement your treatment.
Access To The practice_____________________________________________
We are happy to accomodate patients with special needs. We have wheelchair access and are able to treat disabled patients in one of our ground floor surgeries. We are sometimes able to offer home visits if you are unable to come to the surgery. If you are anxious about visiting the dentist, we are able to help you overcome the problem.
Children are very special patients and we aim to make thier visit as enjoyable as possible, helping them to establish good dental habits for life.
APPOINTMENTS AND EMERGENCIES _____________________________________________
Our reception team will arrange an appointment for you in person, by telephone or via this website. If you feel you need urgent dental treatment, please telephone for advice and we will do our best to see you within 24 hours. For emergencies outside surgery hours, please telephone the surgery number and you will be referred to the on-call dentist.
Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel an appointment, preferably 24 hours. We reserve the right to charge a fee if insufficient notice is given.
JOINING THE PRACTICE _____________________________________________
Private treatment is available from all of our dental surgeons. W encourage patients to join Denplan to enjoy the wide-ranging benefits of Denplan membership, including dental insurance and comprehensive cover for all treatments usually available within the Practice for a fixed monthly fee. Adults and children are welcome to join the Practice as NHS patients, subject to waiting list criteria.
CHOOSING THE BEST WAY TO PAY _____________________________________________
In accordance with NHS regulations, fees for NHS treatment may be requested prior to treatment commencing and outstanding amounts must be settled on completion of treatment.
Following an initial examination, you will be offered a written treatment plan which itemises the cost as far as possible. A deposit is required before your treatment begins and unless otherwise agreed, a final payment will be required before completion. For prolonged treatments, fees may be accepted in installments. Accounts can be settled in cash or major credit card. We no longer accept cheques.
Once dental fitness has been secured, you would be encouraged to consider registration with Denplan Care. This scheme offers fully comprehensive cover for all subsequent dental treatment usually available within the practice for a regular fixed monthly fee. Insurance for dental injury following sporting or other accidents is also included in Denplan Care. Alternatively, Denplan Essentials provides registration with the practice & cover for routine examination & hygiene visits.
